The steam bent ash hoop leans to the right, curling back on itself, while the elm seat bears a similar undulation.
 
The spindles, legs and crinoline stretcher formation are all of ash. The pierced splat is of beech as is the arm bow – which is beautifully worn where generations of hands have rubbed and rested.
 
Solid and usable with honest wear and original stain still present.
