A sugan chair constructed of ash with a thickly painted surface.
 
The slats are through-wedged and pegged into the thoughtfully inclined back uprights. Double stretchers are present to either side of the legs – an interesting quirk for such a chair.
 
The seat has been replaced by myself in the traditional manner using seagrass.
 
Solid and usable.
