A simple pine washstand with a grained finish in imitation of maple over an earlier coat of red oxide.
 
The surface has naturally worn and areas have attractively crazed elevating this from a workaday piece of vernacular furniture into something altogether unique.
 
The form is reserved with the inclusion of an architectural inspired gallery, a Cupid’s bow adorning the frieze and turned ornament to the legs united by four plain stretchers.
 
Solid and usable. Some historic flight-holes to the feet and elsewhere.
