A pine two over three chest of drawers adorned with transferred trefoil borders and faux banding.
 
The finely dovetailed drawers are cedar lined and retain their original chunky porcelain knobs.
 
Makers’ label to the interior of the top long drawer for the ‘Belfast Carpet Warehouse, N.A.C & Co., 1863’. The date is more than likely that of their establishment rather than when the chest was constructed.
 
Solid and usable, showing its age with honesty and flare.
 
Irish, made in Belfast, circa last quarter of the 19th century.
